در کتاب The Anglo-Saxon Chronicle که حوادث تاريخي انگلستان از سال 1 ميلادي تا سال 1154 ميلادي را نوشته شده است موضوع جالبي وجود دارد در حوادث سال 685 ميلادي (که مصادف بوده با سال 61 هجري قمري که سال شهادت امام حسين ع بوده) در انگلستان چنين آمده است.

there was in Britain a bloody rain, and milk and butter were
turned to blood.

در اين سال در انگلستان خون از آسمان باريد و شير و کره ها تبديل به خون شدند
و جالب اينجاست که در کتب تاريخي و اسلامي نيز چنين حادثه اي نقل شده است.
